  1. Do I have to register to download?

    Yes, a registration is necessary to buy downloads. This way you can also verify that you are the owner of a legal download. Registration is free, of course.


  2. How old must I be to use the service?

    You have to be at least 18 years old. If you're between 13 and 18, one of your parents can create the account for you. This parent is completely responsible for all activities of your account (see Conditions of Use).


  3. I have registered, but I didn't receive a password.

    Our registration mails will be sent after registration automatically. That's why some providers see them as "spam" and directly put it into your "Spam"-folder (if you have one). Some providers (especially the spanish ones) don't even forward these mails to your mailbox. Please check first if our mail has been sent to your spam-folder. You can still login with the password that you entered at your registration, even without the confirmation mail!


  4. I forgot my password!

    Click on "Forgot Password?" on the right side. You will get a new password to your mail address then.


  5. How can I order tracks? Is there something I have to consider?

    We have a detailed tutorial (click on the right side), where all steps are explained.


  6. Are there technical requirements?

    To use the downloadshop, you need a computer with Internet connection, a browser (for example Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) and a program to play MP3-Files (for example Winamp or the Windows Media Player).


  7. What kind of tracks do you offer for download? In what quality are they?

    At the moment we exclusively offer tracks from our own labels. The quality is mentionend in the description of each item (192 kbps, 320 kbps or WAV)


  8. How long does it take to download?

    Download times can differ, depending on your internet connection and length of the downloaded track. A track with a quality of 192 kbps and a length of 5 minutes has a size of 7 MB. With a DSL connection, you should be able to download it in less than 1 minute. Downloading high quality WAV-Files will take longer, of course.


  9. What am I allowed to do with the downloaded tracks? Are there restrictions? May I share the downloaded files, for example?

    You may listen to the downloaded tracks as often as you like. You can burn it on CD or transfer it to portable players. Please note that the tracks are EXCLUSIVELY for private use! You are NOT allowed to give it to others (nevermind if it's on USB-Sticks, CD-R, DVD or anything else). We particularly advise that you're NOT allowed to upload the tracks to other websites, you're not allowed to send them via e-mail to anyone else or to offer them in any kind of fileharing programs/communities. A digital watermark makes it possible to mark mp3-files with personal data of the owner. If any watermarked files are found in the internet, then the owner will be prosecuted.


  10. I click on "Buy", but the item is not displayed in my shopping cart

    You're probably in the overview list. When you click on "Buy" here, then you will be directed to the detailed list of an item (with more details like length of the track, quality and so on). Simply click again on "Buy" there and the item will be displayed in your shopping cart.


  11. I would like to change my order before I checkout

    Click on "Cart Contens" to get an overview of all items. You may delete items there and/or continue Shopping.


  12. I have ordered and would like to pay with Money Order (Bank Transfer). Now I wait for your reaction. How long does that take?

    After your order, an automatic mail will be generated to confirm your order. The ordernumber (which is important for the bank transfer) will be mentioned there. You should get it within 10 minutes normally. If you still didn't receive it after 60 minutes, then please check your spam folder. If it doesn't help or if the mail is incomplete, then please send a mail to info@important-downloads.com with your details (Name/Surname).
    You can still do the payment without order confirmation! Bank Details are mentionend on the right side (Bank Information), your order number will be visible when you click on "My Account".


  13. I have ordered and received the order confirmation. Where do I have to send the payment to?

    You can find the bank details on the right side (Bank Information). Don't forget to mention your order number in the bank transfer and make sure that your bank doesn't charge us any fee for the transaction.


  14. How long does it take until the downloads are activated?

    Activation depends on your payment method:

    Downloads paid with Paypal will automatically be activated after successful payment. You will be directed to the Paypal website directly when you order. After successful payment, you will be redirected to our site again. There you may have to login again and your downloads are activated.

    Downloads paid by "Money Order" (Bank Transfer) will be activated as soon as the payment is here. Don't forget to mention your order number in the bank transfer and make sure that your bank doesn't charge us any fee for the transaction.


  15. Can I change the downloads after purchase?

    No, an exchange is not possible.


  16. How often and how long can I download the purchased tracks?

    Every purchased track can be downloaded 2 times in total (for example if your internet connection strucks during the first download). After activation you have 7 days until the downloadoption will be deleted.


  17. I can't listen to the previews

    Preview files can only be used when you login. As soon as you're logged in, a Play-Button will be visible to listen. You need a standard mp3 player to listen to the preview-files (for example Winamp or Windows Media Player)


  18. Can I combine an order with an order at "Important Records"?

    No, a combination of a Vinyl/CD/Merchandise-Order at "Important Records" (www.important-records.net) with order from the downloadshop is technically not possible. We also have different bank details.


  19. I've got a question which is not displayed here.
